Broadwater Boats 15/5

On a cold autumn morning, my alarm goes off normally all I want to do is sleep but I had been wanting to photograph at this location for a long time and finally the conditions were favourable. Here in Queensland the sky has been clear with only the slightest hint of cloud for the past week or so which is great provided that there is no wind but it has been quite windy not to mention cold. With the clear sky I knew at sunrise there would be a slight pink hue through the sky and that was exactly what I got.

The boating culture on the gold coast seems to get bigger and bigger as time goes by and for me this shot of the Broadwater looking back towards Main Beach and Surfers Paradise is a classic gold coast image.

Lamington National Park 09/5

I have been playing around with some black and white landscapes lately mainly beach shots but I wasn’t really that happy with any of them. I ended up looking a little outside the box and put one of the photographs I had captured from the Gold Coast Hinterland at Elabana Falls.

I am not sure if I really like this shot but it is a little different to my normal but here it is anyway. Let me know what you all think.

Cheers

Duranbah Panoramic 01/5

As a landscape photographer I am always looking for something different to photograph. Duranbah is a little surf beach just around the corner from the world famous Snapper Rocks, it must be the way the beach faces but it almost always seems have a good wave. The reason I chose this angle is it gave the beach a sense of space which when you arrive at the car park is what you can see, a few scattered rocks on the left and a headland then a break wall on the right of the beach but mainly just sand and space.

This image is a 14 image stitch which could have been cropped to a 4:1 ratio but I liked the 3:1 better so that was the final result I went with.

Hope you like it
